Colors & Materials

Cordura
For bags, pouches, and the like, Cordura® nylon is what we most commonly use as the exterior fabric. It looks similar to duck canvas but is much more durable and abrasion resistant. It has a urethane coating on the back, and a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish on the face, so it's very water-resistant.

X-Pac
A lighter fabric alternative is X-Pac™. X-Pac is a high-performance fabric that's extremely waterproof and strong for its weight. It's comprised of four layers:

•woven nylon face with Durable Water Repellant finish
•X-Ply yarn for bias stability and tear strength
•PET film for waterproof & low stretch
•woven polyester backing for seam strength and durability

It can be used as a standalone/exterior fabric, or as a liner. It's lighter than 330D Cordura, and has a tear strength greater than 500D Cordura.

Webbing
Almost everything we offer requires some kind of webbing. For things like shoulder straps, adjustment straps, buckle leads, and PALS, we generally use MIL-SPEC 17337 nylon webbing, which is thin, and flexible, but very strong and durable. The breaking strength for 1″ 17337 is ~1,200 lbs. and ~2,200 lbs. for the 2″ version. In 1″ and 2″ widths we have black, coyote brown, foliage green, Kryptek Highlander, Multicam®, OD, ranger green, tan, and wolfe grey. The MultiCam® webbing is jacquard woven and exceeds MIL-SPEC A-A-55301. The pattern is woven into the webbing, which means the colors won’t fade over time as seen with printed webbing.

Hardware
Most of our plastic hardware (side-release buckles, tri-bar slides, d-rings, tension adjusters, etc.) is available in the most common MIL-SPEC colors, such as black, coyote brown, foliage green, ranger green, and tan.
